What's for Lunch?

After a very long Sunday, it was nice to relax a bit today. Our big event of the day was a belated Mother's Day lunch prepared by John at the home of Alain and Cathy Pfaff, where John is serving as a house and dog sitter for a few days.

John was in Hog Heaven
preparing the meal

Laurie could not help filling in as sous chef for him.

 Awesome Rabbit for Lunch!!!

The Master Chef of Lyon is Paul Bocuse. Using Bocuse's cookbook as a guide, John was able to prepare a delicious Lyonnais salad, rabbit in an incredible sauce and a lemon tart from scratch that were so heavenly rich! The matching wines and café were parfait too.

The soon-to-be-opened van den Raadt French Restaurant in Mira Loma, California is a can't miss proposition, if you ask me.

Thanks John.  That was another in a long list of great French two hour lunch dining experiences!

The pétanque tournament would have been fun unless our practice field wasn't a parking for the players' cars (oh no i'm not joking...)

David,

How could those cars parked on that practice field possibly hurt the "grass"?

Pétanque in Lyon is like a fridge in Groenland or a protestant church on the st pierre plaza in rome.why play pétanque in the kingdom of real bowls, the Lyon bowl game?!!
