Luzern Lions at Thun Tigers

Luzern Lions (1-2)
at
Thun Tigers (0-1)

This promised to be a very physical game between two evenly matched squads that like to run the ball.

If you like hard hitting and defense, then this was the place to be.

First Quarter:

Luzern takes the opening Kickoff and drives down the field. Their Field Goal attempt is no good.

Thun is forced to punt after our first 3 plays.

Luzern fumbles the ball deep in their own territory, Tiger Linebacker Michael Brunner recovers the loose ball for Thun.

On the last play of the quarter, Tiger QB Rolf Zybach hits Tight End Sadique Khan with an 8 yard TD pass. The extra point is wide left. Thun leads 6-0.

The Lions are again stopped on Fourth Down as the Tiger defense continues to play very well.

The Lions defense came to play too!

Third Quarter:

Roland Andrist returns the Second Half Kickoff 50 yards for the Tigers but the Lions stop the Tigers at the 1 yard line on Fourth Down as both defenses continue to play well.

The Lions are driving as the 3rd Quarter comes to a quick end due to no passing. The score is still Thun 6 – Luzern 0.

Thun takes a knee out of the Victory Formation. Final Score: Thun 6 – Luzern 0

The Tigers improved to 1-1 while Luzern is now 1-3.

Winning is such a good feeling! My brats tasted better, the coffee tasted better and I looked sexier. Winning is good!!!

I must say that no matter how cold the weather or what state, country or continent I'm coaching in, I never get tired of the post game ice water down my back routine by the players. WINNING IS GOOD INDEED!!!

We have another BYE next week, our third one in the first five weeks of the season, nice scheduling by the league. In two weeks we play a very strong team in Lausanne, the LUCAF Owls. LUCAF is an acronym for Lausanne Université Club American Football.

Tiger Souvenirs for Sale

I bought a black hat and a coffee mug.

The U-19 team gave me this great
Thun Tiger jacket before the game

AWESOME!!!

Johnnie Brunner rumbling for the U-19 Team

The Tiger U-19 squad improved to 3-0 before our game with a decisive 35-0 win over their Luzern counterparts.

White on White

I'm not sure which Tiger U-19 player got this QB Sack.

Not Real

But my victory Sunset Burger at the Morris Restaurant was very real!

Did I mention that WINNING IS A GOOD THING?
